Put simply, the tap-to-focus feature of the Hipstamatic 235 and beyond wasn’t doing it for me, so I downgraded my app to version 231.
I was finding that the tap-to-focus feature was ruining a lot more photos than it enhanced, especially when I’d pass my phone to someone else to take a shot or when it’d refocus just before I’d tap the shutter release. Bah!
The favourites feature also introduced post-231 was nice but slow to load so I rarely touched it. The Instagram integration that came later might have interested me before but not now with Facebook taking that service over.
So, at least for now, it’s the Hipstamatic 231 for me.

And of course I forgot about the “winding film roll” bug with the 231, so I further downgraded to the Hipstamatic 226 :-)

I would also like to downgrade to 231 version but I can’t find the file on my PC because I’ve erased it.
